- Reading with emotional voices help kids pay more attention and get interest.
- Asking kids simple questions while reading help the kids understand more about the story.
- While reading: point at pictures and ask them what is it because they are still learning new things, count with them because they love to count and spell the words for them because they are learning the alphabet.
- Choose non-fiction/fiction books to read with them, especially pictures books.
- Use hand-gestures/act out so they can understand the story more.
- Try to use simple words so kids can understand.
*3 years old kids are pretty young so they might not listen actively while you read!*
